My wife and I lived in Suva, the capital of Fiji, for three and a half years. During that time, we discovered wonderful places and learned a great deal about the country’s traditions and way of life.

We are now based in Elbasan, Albania—just a 40‑minute drive from Tirana. Situated in the heart of the country, Elbasan makes travel easy and accessible. Albania’s rich history and traditions make it an excellent choice for a long‑term stay. Speaking Albanian has been invaluable for finding accommodation and navigating official processes.

We also spent four months in Douala, Cameroon’s bustling business capital, which was an unforgettable experience.

Relocating to a new country is always exciting, but it comes with challenges. My goal is to help you prepare, overcome obstacles, and even avoid potential difficulties by sharing what I’ve learned firsthand.
